Preliminary task
07:28
This is our final edit of the preliminary task.
During the filming of the preliminary task, I learned many things to do with filming. I feel like I have developed my skills in working a camera, and my editing skills were furthered, as I feel i know what camera angles and such could be best for a certain scene (e.g an extreme close up for tension, or a shot reverse sot for conversation).
We viewed these in the class and we gained the feedback that we used many POV shots(as shown below) , where we should have been using Shot reverse shots,
This shot is what we should have done more of, as it shows more in a conversation situation.
Overall, I think we could have improved our preliminary task. Since we at first had not met all the requirements for the preliminary task, and we had to re-film some scenes with a different camera. This shows due to the changes in audio and video in he task itself when seen . So to improve, we should keep to using the same camera equipment next time.
Also, next time we should stick to the story board more, as we did deviate from the original plan, so we should make sue we have all the proper equipment and props before adding them to the story board.
Next time, I would shoot everything in one location, then move onto another location, as that would make it easier for recording, and would not set us back at all in the editing process. I would also make sure I meet all of the criteria to begin with, which would help save time on editing, and with that time, we could have made the transitions more seamless
